The Friends of Bowral Rugby Foundation (Friends) is an independent organisation aligned to the Bowral Blacks Rugby Club. The Friends is administered by a committee with its own President and Members. The inaugural president is Paul Milner along with committee members, Malcolm Noad, Jim Flynn, John Mumm, Bruce Hindmarsh and Will Tooth. Memberships are as follows 1. Private - $500 p/a fully tax deductible 2. Corporate - $1000 p/a fully tax deductible As a member of FOBR you will receive automatic VIP membership of Bowral Rugby, but you will also be eligible to attend events exclusive to members of FOBR, including our planed lunch/ dinner where you will be entertained by one of the many guest speakers we will be organising. These speakers will be a mix of high-profile Rugby people, business people and maybe even the odd politician. We want this membership to create a real connection between the members and the club and so we will also host events at scheduled home games throughout the year and get togethers at local sponsors pubs. The benefits for the club will be 1. Maintain and increase support for the Club from former players, supporters’ & other members of the community who would like to support Bowral Rugby Club in providing team sport for men, women and juniors in the Southern Highlands. 2. Provide an additional source of funding for the Club to improve off-field facilities and on-field playing numbers and strength for men, women and juniors 3. Build an expanded body of people/organisations who are willing to contribute to maintaining and growing a strong club which also assists in the personal development (e.g., mentoring, work experience, employment etc) of its players. 4. Contribute toward the further development of the Club’s facilities which are also available for the use of the Southern Highlands community. The Friends raises and manages its own funds, and makes grants to the Bowral Rugby Club for agreed purposes consistent with the Foundation’s objectives above. The Friends and Club agree the proposed application of funds contributed by the Friends each year so that Members of the Friends can see where their funds have been used.
