The ARU has implemented a new policy designed to make rugby safer and more accessible at all levels. There has been a change to the tackle height rule for all levels of Community Rugby across Australia. We're excited to share that the tackle height has been reduced to below the sternum, making Rugby Union safer and reducing the risk of concussion significantly. These new rules have been trialled across the world, including in NZ, England, and France and have seen really positive results. To read more about this policy click here.
We are a community organisation that needs the help of volunteers to operate and grow. It is an expectation for parents to help where they can, and there are many areas that require regular help, including: doing a BBQ shift, setting fields up for game days, helping in the canteen, washing team jerseys, and supplying snakes & oranges for your team. We also need team coaches, assistant coaches & managers, committee members and referees and would love to hear from you if you can help (no experience needed, training can be provided), please contact Dan Drewe (Juniors Director) on juniorsdirector@bowralrugby.com.au if you are interested in helping this season.
